Galgo Foundation

Our aim is to support the shelters we support in Spain, which take care of rescuing and safeguarding neglected and abused (stray) dogs, in the broadest sense of the word.

This includes support in collecting food, care products, medication, cleaning products and contributions to veterinary costs that are not covered by any adoptions.

In addition, we help to improve the living and living environment of the dogs in the supported shelters. Think of construction and repair work such as a quarantine area, new dog kennels or screens at the kennels to protect against cold and heat.

We annually financially support preventive actions to vaccinate and neutralize. This is to prevent the outbreak of diseases in the already overcrowded shelters and to ensure that the growth of stray dogs does not spread further.

We are also very active in mediating dogs in shelters to a new home. We do this for all galgos and other (crossbreed) dogs in the shelters we support.

We have a team of highly motivated volunteers who all work unpaid and with great enthusiasm for the welfare of dogs in need in Spain. The foundation is not for profit.
